We are a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing world-class educational infrastructure and digital literacy to underserved communities.
Fundación Formando Futuro was established in 2012 with a singular, unwavering mission: to ensure that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background or geographical location, has access to the highest quality of education. We believe that education is not just a fundamental human right, but the most powerful catalyst for socio-economic transformation. Our journey began in a small community center in Madrid, where we realized that the primary barrier to progress was not a lack of potential, but a lack of opportunity. Over the last decade, we have expanded our operations to four continents, focusing on regions where the educational gap is widest.
Our methodology is built on the "Holistic Empowerment Model." This approach goes beyond traditional classroom teaching. We integrate nutrition, mental health support, and family engagement into our educational programs. We understand that a hungry child cannot focus, and a child without a supportive home environment cannot thrive. By addressing the ecosystem around the student, we have achieved a 94% retention rate in our programs, far exceeding the regional averages in the areas we serve. Our board consists of internationally recognized educators, child psychologists, and community leaders who bring a wealth of experience in systemic change.
In addition to our core curriculum, we prioritize sustainable development goals (SDGs). We teach our students about environmental stewardship, social justice, and the importance of global citizenship. By fostering a sense of agency, we empower them not only to change their own lives but to become the architects of change in their own communities. Our future-focused labs provide hands-on experience in coding, renewable energy systems, and modern agriculture, ensuring our graduates are ready for the 21st-century job market.
We have renovated and built state-of-the-art facilities across 15 countries, providing safe learning environments for over 500,000 children annually.
Through our "Digital Bridges" initiative, we have distributed 100,000 laptops and installed high-speed satellite internet in remote rural areas.
Providing over 1 million healthy meals monthly, ensuring that physical health is the foundation of academic success for our students.
How are the funds utilized? Transparency is one of our core pillars. 92% of all donations go directly to field programs. Our annual financial reports are audited by Tier-1 global firms and made public to ensure our donors' trust.
Can I volunteer? Yes, we have a robust global volunteer network (DV Nation partnership). We seek experts in technology, curriculum design, and project management. Volunteers contribute both remotely and through on-ground expeditions during our summer "Future Lab" sessions.
What is the long-term goal? Our goal for 2030 is to create a self-sustaining educational network where our alumni return as teachers and mentors, effectively creating a feedback loop of prosperity and knowledge that no longer requires external intervention.
